By David Ferring · Digitize DFW · Flower Mound, TX

If you have been putting off digitizing your family photos because you have no idea what it costs, you are not alone. At Digitize DFW, David Ferring believes pricing should be simple and upfront — so here is exactly what to expect across Flower Mound, Lewisville, Denton, and the wider DFW metroplex.
What affects the price
Three things mostly determine cost: how much you have, what format it is in, and whether you want basic scanning or added enhancement. A single shoebox is priced differently than a stack of albums, and a faithful scan costs less than a full hand-restoration of a damaged print.
Photo scanning
Loose photos are priced by the box. A standard shoebox (up to about 1,000 photos) is $109, or $149 enhanced with AI color and contrast correction — and you keep both versions. Photo albums start at $49. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
VHS & camcorder tapes
Tapes are priced individually: $19.99 per tape standard, or $29.99 with AI enhancement. That covers VHS, Hi8, 8mm, Digital8, and MiniDV. Not sure what you have? Read What Tape Do I Have? or see VHS to digital.
Restoration & negatives
Photo restoration for torn, faded, or water-damaged photos starts at $19.99 per photo. Film negatives are quoted individually — just text David a photo of what you have.
The $99 minimum
There is a $99 project minimum, and you can combine photos, albums, and tapes to reach it. Payment is by cash, Zelle, Venmo, or card.
Why local pricing is worth it
With Digitize DFW, your originals never leave the DFW area and are never outsourced. David handles every step personally in Flower Mound — pickup or drop-off, digitizing, and delivery — so you are paying for careful, local, hands-on work, not a mail-in warehouse.
